Celebrate Alaska at the Kodiak 2026 Crab Festival
At Kodiak Discovery Tours, we live to provide authentic experiences, showcase Kodiak’s wild beauty, and celebrate our rich local history and heritage. And one of our favorite events of the year brings all of those things – plus some delicious food, seafood, and fun games – all together. The Kodiak Crab Festival kicks off the summer season on the island, welcoming warmer weather, greener days, and a busy season of cruise ships and tourism.
This year’s 68th Annual Kodiak Crab Festival is themed You, Me & the Sea, celebrating all the things we love about Alaska living. Held May 21 - 25, 2026, the Crab Fest will feature live music and dancing, inflatables, local vendors, fresh seafood (starring crab, of course), raffles, and a parade.
Fun for the Family
The Kodiak Crab Festival has something for everyone, including the fan-favorite inflatables from 509 Jumpers LLC, hailing from Yakima, Washington. They’ll bring inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses, and games to keep the kids going all weekend. Other annual favorites back this year include the Climbing Elevation Rock Wall, Kodiak Christian School’s Hamster Balls, Bungee Bounce, the Kodiak Lions Club Sawdust Pile, the Kiwanis Nail Benders, and the Gelly Ball Arena!
Guests can snap photos of the event for a chance to win the photo contest, and the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce will be selling raffle tickets at $25 each or $100 for 5 tickets for a chance to win the $10,000 prize on Memorial Day!
Plenty of local vendors will be set up with food, sweet treats, and drinks, and there will be event merchandise available featuring the art of Valory Canfield (2026 logo) and Bruce Nelson (2026 poster design).
A Great Lineup of Events
Along with the pardoning of the crab by Senator Dan Sullivan and Miss Alaska Suparat Prasannet, 2026 events will include the Kodiak Crab Festival Parade along Mill Bay Road, Alutiiq dancers, the Fisherman’s Memorial Service, the Blessing of the Fleet, the Cannery Row Crab Fest Mile, line dancing with Boot Scootin’ Babes and Miss Alaska, the Norm Holm Memorial Survival Suit Race, a U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demo, and live music!
